Incomprehension

by Michael   Jul 10, 2017

A desolate pit; starved of empathy
where understandings are
misconstrued into; ignorance.
Aspirations; ridiculed; insipid
innuendos; are the only inspiration

An effluvium of iron; rusting
of where hearts are bled dry;
distorted words of love; drip
down walls of stone.

...here...

challenges have fallen; prey,
vulnerable battles; victorious; of
those which feed; victual fallacies
whose minds, are malnourished
with sickness!

I, saved myself but....

..only just..!

a life-line; dependent; hangs; frayed
and frail which is attached to
conservation, which Is in danger
of snapping..

...at any point..

...then what!?

aching arms; stretch
out; ashen faces; stare;
looking up; in vain
from beneath; deep in
the recesses of this well,
and; no one will know.

Seasons will come and go;
and the winch; will cease-up!

...forever,

left to rot away; by-passed
and missed what lies below.

...time; and time again..

Hope..

has died; death becomes
a landmark; of what is buried...

..and forgotten!
