Imelda

by Alex Penuelas   Jul 12, 2017

I reminisce in
All of the times
That i would take you out
To the hospital,
To appointments,
To grow grocery shopping,
Every single time that
I don't have to go to work.

And it gives me
Great pleasure to do this
So that you don't have
To ride on the bus for
2-3 hours a day
Just to do your
Daily activities.

I love the
Pupusas that you make
Every Friday night
When I come back
From work,
And you smile as I
Gorge on those
Delicious cheesy tortillas.

I love how
Much you care for me
Every day that you see me,
And I will not trade you
For anyone else
In the whole world.

You are like a
Second mother to me,
Even though you and I
Are not at all
Related by blood,
But I love you with
Every fiber in my being.
