"It was Just the Wind" [Part 1]

by Alex Penuelas   Jul 19, 2017

Have you ever
Sat home
Alone and
Out of nowhere you
Would hear someone
Whisper your name?

No?
Just me?

Well, ok.

So,
I just recently moved out
To my new home that I own
All by myself.

I moved here in order to
Further pursue my
Business career out of state.

I now live in a
Quiet suburb that is
Located a couple of miles
Away from the city that
I now work at.

My parents have
Always been the
Protective types when it
Came to me.

They would often
Have me have my
Skype chat up at night,
So that I can have
Video chats with them
So that I wouldn't
Feel alone in my
New home.

Well, I keep on calling it a home.

It's more like a
One bedroom studio,
With literally everything in the
Same room.

The living room,
The kitchen,
And the bedroom,
Are all literally
Five feet away from one another.

One more thing that you must know
Is that my apartment is
Located on the first floor
Of the complex,
Giving me a nice view of the street.

Well, that is,
If I can really call it a view..

I live in an apartment complex
That is literally on a
Main street with
Very scarce traffic,
Traffic that I am not
Used to.

The locals here consider
Traffic to be
2 cars and a tractor
Stopped at a stop light.

They aren't used to the
Bumper to bumper traffic
That I am used to
When I grew up in
California.

Anyway,
Now that you have an
Idea of my surroundings,
I want to tell you about
the worst experience I have had
in literally the first week that
I was at my new apartment.
