Born to be Your Queen

Born to Be Your Queen

From childhood I wondered,
who you would be,
with your darkened face unseen..
I wondered as I wandered
Through the cruel world
For I was born to be your queen.

Dreaming of castles
A kingdom I'd see,
With emerald lush dashes of green..
I pressed on as I dreamt on,
Through the night of my soul,
For I was born to be your queen

Charlatans common
Overpowered me,
With promises of royalty...
My light in their dungeons
Was my dream of you,
For I was born to be your queen

Years traveling weary,
Where could you be?
In search for my hero king.
So I cast my heart free
In the ethereal
For I was born to be your queen

It was there in the realm,
I saw a face
With a halo of golden gleam
And I gazed with all knowing
On your countenance true,
For I was born to be your queen

Up the hill to a castle
We travelled entwined
To a palace prepared for me
And over the threshold
My king carried me,
For I was born to be your queen

Gracious praise
Universe unseen
For her laws have now brought you to me...
You are my home
Destination, known...
For I was born, to be your queen
