Still Learning

The stars dance in the night sky
twinkles of light cast down to earth

Each new moon brings new life
the cycle begins all over again

The dreamers of the night
awaken to the sound of rain
saturating the ground below
the seeds planted now begin to grow

There is much now to regain
from knowledge forgotten
to knowledge learned
from wisdom spoken
to wisdom learned

Listen and you will hear
look and you will see
everything around you
is not but a tree

Its roots buried beneath the earth
soaking up all the knowledge of long ago
is this not now the tree of knowledge
or does one learn all in college?
