IS YOUR RUDDER BROKEN?

IS YOUR RUDDER BROKEN?

What is your guide that steers you through life, is it just a spontaneous reaction to each situation? Or is there more, like a spiritual rudder that guides you to the right door? Do you make your own choices each day, never knowing if they are right or wrong, with a worried conscience whispering that it is the Devil to pay, broken rudder, looks like it I must say?

Are you the Captain of your Soul, you steer it this way and that through life but you experience many shipwrecks where you flounder and your treasures did disappear, with you tattered and torn laying half dead on the beach of despair. Not only did the Lord say that it was not good for man to be alone but also, he would need a rudder to guide him through a fallen sinful world with its Sea of rotting debris and oily foam.

God himself became man’s Captain who controls the rudder of the ship of Faith, the man himself. The Bible tells us how a tiny rudder can control a huge ship along with the tongue that also is a small member of the body but the use of it wrongly can destroy people, ask the Hunchback who jumped off the Steeple.
The man or woman of Faith is to be fully surrendered to their *Lord and Savior, thus letting him guide your life, with his hand on your rudder, you will be steered into the best choices to make and avoid the mistakes that the rudderless others make.

*Jesus came to give us abundant Life, He is the Captain of our Salvation. When we surrender and let him lead and steer us through our life’s, that produces Peace and security, his choices for you will always be perfect, like Him who never changes and cannot lie. When you pray and ask for something, trust Him to do the right thing according to His Will, what is best for you He will always do.

Amen, Ken. Though not everybody would feel this way, I always know I will be nothing without Him. Everything comes from Him.

I agree Mel, at the Sermon on the Mount thousands flocked to see and hear Jesus but some were there looking to catch him in a snare. He is still the Lighthouse that shines through the great darkness, without that Lighthouse where would this Ship be? As that Church great Hymn proclaims. He today is still seeking and saving his lost sheep and he proclaims that His sheep hear his voice, so never despair, Jesus is building his Church and all the Powers of Hell cannot prevent it.
