Frostbite

by Kasie   Aug 3, 2017

The acidity of emotions burn,

As they trickle down frail cheeks.

Seeping into the delusional pain,

That make the confident weak.
~~~
The frigid hands of desolation's grip,
Numbs the wintry artic hearts.
Disheartened by a single frozen touch,
They are left to fall apart.
    Kasie,
    It's great to see you writing again. You have always had a very natural way with rhyming poetry (I remember how well you took to sonnets) and this is no exception.
    I know you have been struggling a bit recently and the darkness that surrounds this piece is testament to that. Keep looking up, though, and I promise it will pass.
    Take care,
    Ben
    Wow, this is beautiful, Kasie. There is a silent sadness in this piece that resonated with me.
