Mere Genetics

by Bradley Peter   Aug 7, 2017

A cocktail of genetics with cosmetics,
This is the beauty that is held so dear,
Little achievement found in aesthetics,
And yet losing it is something we fear,
It blinds us from the person beneath,
Held captive by the cover of their book,
From their intelligence, heart and belief,
So many are judged and judge by their look,
Don't reward or award based on beauty,
Look for the soul, they are owed that duty.
