Day by Day

by Allie   Aug 8, 2017

He'll take it day by day. Listening to you run your mouth about all of his insecurities.

She'll do it again and again simply because she can. She'll sit around waiting for that next blow. Her next excuse for who she's becoming.

He'll take it day by day. Your words playing in his mind. Anger getting the best of him. It's just a matter of time.

They'll take it day by day. They'll do it again and again. Until the day comes where you're kneeling down asking "why"?

Those words you spoke. The blows they took.... they asked themselves the same thing. Day in and day out. Over and over. Until asking themselves "why" became "it's true".

They got tired of doing it over again. They got tired of your loud mouth.

You buried them and now you act like you're not fault. And you'll do it again. Over and over.

A vicious cycle of words that some people just can't let go of.
