The Kindness Hearts Bear The Deepest Scars:

by Scott Cole   Aug 9, 2017

It's the ones that have the deepest scars
That have the purest and caring hearts,
It's all because of their hard journey in Life
How those slow healing bruises got their fresh start.

For they have extreme heartburn from tasting pain
Misery within their Soul that can't find it's way out,
So they know what it's like to bear the suffering
That complete helplessness that's heightened by doubt.

So they fight their battle with unconditional love
That one and only medicine that gives them relief,
A stout shoulder to cry on or a proud helping hand
For that precious individual that has no belief.

For that kindness and goodwill they freely do give
Helps douse the carnage in two fighting hearts at war,
So that those deepest scars can begin to heal
And so the one down on his luck can rise up and soar.
