You Won't

by Allie   Aug 11, 2017

You can spit on me like I'm nothing more than garbage.

You can laugh in my face when I fall down. You can make me believe the things you say are true.

But I'll see you through. I have one hell of a poker face.

I'll look you dead in the eye while my heart is breaking on the inside. I'll smirk at all the truths you tell me and all the lies. Even when I'm on the verge of crying.

I'll laugh with you while that rock sits in the pit of my stomach. I will not let you see me break.

I won't give you that satisfaction. I won't tell you how much it hurts or keep asking you why.

But when I'm all alone there's one thing I can't hide. I can't hide from the heart ache at 3 in the morning. I can't stop the tears from flowing.

I'll hold my stomach when that rock finally hits bottom. I'll cradle myself in corner in denial.

I'll put my wall back up when you're around.

But you won't get to see me when I'm at my weakest.

Oh, Allie, what a situation to be in. From what I read you are trying to be strong. Its hard to be trapped into something and I feel that now.
