False Hopes

by Domenico Sottile   Aug 20, 2017

It is a wide world abhorrent and strange
housing bad actors who do face time
by their mirrors
permeated with heavy mist of memories
that surely history will forget

It is an unfriendly wide world
with false hopes promised
by mountain size egos
unbeknown to be more fragile than glass
where the strength of selflessness
is stepped upon

It is a wide world abhorrent and strange
where insane emotions have been given voice
and the truth
continues to get muffled
almost noiseless

I love how this flowed out. I love the message in here too, some truths that are really heart-breaking when we think about them.
