Weeping Willow Tree:

by Scott Cole   Aug 23, 2017

She's known to the World
As a Weeping Willow,
With long flowing arms
That hang way down low.

So her scared little heart
And her troubled little eyes,
Can hide their discomfort
In a camoflauge disguise.

So she swings to and fro
To rock her worries away,
As she lowers her head
And commences to pray.

She prays for fertile soils
And for growth and harmony,
For strength and stability
And for life's uncertainties.

For her enormous stature
Requires plenty of love,
From both Mother Nature
And the Heavens above.

For she's the first trees to
Show off her gorgeous leaves,
And one of the last ones
To watch all of them leave.

So lots of tender loving care
Is required for her health,
Like standing water pools
And landscapes of great wealth.

So she always seems unhappy
Cause her head's hanging down,
And her outstretched branches
Nearly blanketing the ground.

But eyes can be deceived
Things aren't always as seen,
For she's not weeping at all
She's just showing off her bling.

The last line made me laugh, Scott. I have to say, the Willow is one of my favourite trees - there is a majesty in their appearance, isn't there?

    Take care,
