Beauty and The Beating

by Odimer   Aug 25, 2017

Beaten down beauty, what have you done?
Though his foot dared cross the line,
once drawn, time like everything else is never undone.
Familiarity breeds contempt come rain or shine.

Beaten down beauty, why do you cry?
Burn bridges. Save face.
Once bitten, twice shy – let sleeping dogs lie.
For as the Earth turns the hours they fade.
