Paid In Full:

by Scott Cole   Aug 31, 2017

If there was no favor from God
He never sent his only Son,
To die upon that rugged cross
For me and everyone.

The sun it still would shine
And the days would come and go,
The flowers would still bloom
And the moon still have it's glow.

The stars they still would twinkle
And the rains would still fall,
The snow still would tumble
And the seasons still stand tall.

The birds they would still whistle
And the bees still make their honey,
The clouds still would be fluffy
And the fog would still be fuzzy.

The wind it still would blow
And the leaves would still fly,
The storms still would strike
And the rainbows still tie-dyed.

But our Souls would still be lost
And our SINS never washed away,
Hope and Faith mean not a thing
So the Devil would have his way.

So Lord we thank you for your Love
And we thank you for your Son,
For without the actions of you both
The human race would be done.

So I'd rather have my Salvation
Over all the treasures in this World,
Because I'd rather live in Heaven
Than burn alive in the Underworld.

Well written Scott! Nicely rhymed and flows beautifully.
