Hollowed Promise

by Karan   Sep 3, 2017

Smouldering beneath the rebels of my heart
my soul crippled by your heartless lies
your words creep beneath my skin like a poison in the veins

I tried not to listen to your hollowed promises
but they lure me towards you like sirens songs
as hapless sailors, I sail towards my unprecedented demise

With tears and notes of sorrow upon my lips
I look towards you for one final redemption
but with your relentless gaze, you silenced my soul

That is painful when the one you look to and have
given your heart and soul crumbles it with lies building
a bond that is sure to sink...touching write.

Hope you are keeping well, take care
