a shower comes once in a full moon
where an eclipse can show itself
and drain the world beneath your feet.
the rain only falls on midnight showers
because if you reach to the stars
to bathe in their glory, this is what life feels like.
if we bathed in our own glory we would understand
what the falling rain feels like as it drenches our hair.
the downpour comes once in a while,
leaving us to partake in its masterpiece.
because, we only know how to bathe when we can see.
if you close your eyes and still feel wet
you can call this a miracle,
because its once in a blue moon that you know
life feels like beauty. and only a glimmer can become beautiful.
so i ask you to take the world in palm before
the sun dims, and reach for the rain. let the rain cloud your pores
let it touch your skin, and let the vision of the stars
reflect through its viscosity.
for... this is what courage feels like.
