Inkless (Sonnet)

by Kasie   Sep 10, 2017

The inkless pen that lays before me now,
Has left it's Mark upon my crumbled page.
I'm left alone to wonder why and how
I came upon this dark and rugged stage.

This pen refused to write another line;
About a life that's filled with ink blot stains
And scribbles marked upon this heart of mine,
That's left me feeling sullen once again.

A drop of ink is all I need to see,
To give me hope that light will shine once more;
Upon this ink filled page in front of me,
And show me life is worth the inkless shore.

My pen has dried and left me here to grieve,
But maybe hope is all I need to breathe.
