Sound of hope

by Michael   Sep 11, 2017

Emanated on earth by hook or by crook
we live and breathe the gift of life;
voices to talk and with vision to look
but life, drips blood from a mysterious knife

Our world is strained; with an endless feud
steam lets off which is brewing with rage;
an entity; unknown stirs an irascible mood
boiling then drained; from a rattled cage!

The blade that strikes the core of our heart,
a storm in a tea cup; is stirred with force
innocent lives notched upon on a chart
from nature itself; or a god-like source?

One thing we all know; so well and true
the conceived atmosphere is out of our hand
the suffering awaiting us next in the queue
we cannot alter their rules and command

Catastrophe empties from an arcane creation
filling up; lives with grief and despair
the countries plagued with recent damnation
with the damage now done; with pain to repair.

So instead of feeding; each other with plight
the money spent-wasted; on wages of wars
We'll always live with an; unwanted fight
of anguished natures that visits our shores!

my love...
...my hope...
...my heart..

..goes out to those who
are hit with this recent time,
and I crave the sounds; of a
peaceful chime..

    Oh well that's a bit special! A beautiful sentiment Michael, echoed by us all I'm sure. Stupid wars! (that's about as poetic as I'm able to get on that subject, hence why I'm sooo impressed by this!) x

      Yes we all have enough to deal with in life's sad uncertainties, money could at least be spent on building a safer world (oh the damn irony) :)
