By The Sea

by Domenico Sottile   Sep 12, 2017

Oh blue immense ocean
witness of abundance
if we could just stop an instant
to look at you
we would forget our petty wars
and grasp the reflection
of your tranquil strength

I stand here to sing to you
as you once taught me in another world
I felt low
and you
wore for me a new suit
glistening your happy soul
in pastels with celebration

You are my friend
you know
and I thank you for your cool life giving breeze
that fills me with your vitality

With paradisiacal intensity of harmonies
I ask you
to accompany my chant

This piece had a somewhat calming feel to it that made me feel like I was on a beach dipping my toes in to the ocean or paddling along in there with the sun on my face and all my worries being washed away.
I do feel the ocean is a really strong metaphor for something that is beautiful and soul warning yet soul destroying all the same. To be one with the ocean and let it cleanse all the bad away would be fantastic.

This is so beautiful my only suggestion would be to centre the piece but that's only my opinion

I am a big fan of beaches.
I know the tranquility one feels sitting near the ocean.
It soothes our heart and mind.
Each wave reminds us that there is always something good keep on coming into our life.
