Trojan

I shall create a mighty horse,
But I will not hide inside.
I shall create it out of wood,
And that mammoth beast I'll ride.

I shall call upon magic and witchcraft
To make this thing live and move,
It's planks may stretch and groan
But its footfalls will be smooth.

From wood it will be constructed
But I will not fell a single tree
I will use those that have already fallen
For a your gift of life another lease.

I will visit villages and many towns.
As I traverse across this land,
I'll let children climb upon it
And place the reins into their hands.

I will hope it brings joy and pleasure,
And that they are filled with awe.
I will hope it makes them realise,
They can be so much more.

I will not use this horse to wage war
To make no man bend his knee,
But to show you don't have to destroy
And to show just what can be.

Cheers dude, really enjoyed writing this, it was totally effortless. I think I enjoy writing along the lines of fantasy most and it's a welcome break from the darker stuff I sometimes write.

      Thanks dude,

I wrote this really quickly, it was quite short to start with but just before posting to extra stanzas popped into my head.
