Sir i thought i would take this chance to provide a more detailed comment on this piece. With the goal of learning more about syntuits and poetry from an experienced poet. If a Syntuit is comprised of 17 syllables in three lines of 5-7-5, then a string of syntuits is a set of these three lines.

In this poem - a four string syntuit. I wonder if the last line of this style of poem is the conclusive line for the entire string.

Title 'Ancient future' hints of the content. Suggesting a connection between the past to our future.

    Why do I connect
    with ruins of people lost
    to our own concepts?

The opening syntiut poses a question, which the author will answer in further on the string. I interpret this synuit as there is a connection between those civilisations lost and the direction we are heading. Perhaps also implying that we will be a lost people, eventually?

    Continuity
    paves the human destiny:
    stones to outer space

Continuity. The key word, for is that how we survived - inspite of lost civilisations. We continued on; found new land....survived. The stones reference maybe the author suggesting earth and other planets are like a stone, to outer space. Hinting that contuinity and outer space are linked for us to survive.

    Following this path
    gives a stepping stone revealed
    to my grandchildren.

Possible interpretation; if we adopt the concept of continuity, we may pave the way for future generations. The stepping stone may reference living on another planet.

    Leave Earth and the sun
    far behind in your mirror
    galaxy's your destiny.

By focusing on continuing life in longer term, we must seek an alternative planet to live on.

Perhaps suggesting our mindset needs to be focused on continuity. The implications (if I am on the right path) are immense for politics, education, budgeting, research. For these areas will need to be redirected towards our ability to indentify and inhabit another planet.

Other interpretations I can think of? Maybe we should be focused on continuing life on earth OR else we may need to go elsewhere?

I found this piece to be very thought provoking. Great to be able to learn from experienced poets...not only in different styles but in thought provoking poetry. For what it is worth from a beginner, I really value the poetry of this string syntuit.
