Life's Circus

by Paul Hirst   Sep 18, 2017

In life's circus a clown I play a painted smile I wear each day

Acting the fool for all to see while ambidextrously juggling pain and anxiety

This smiling face painted on only untill everyone has gone

And then alone I sit in our park and cry a fools tears into the dark

Well done-I think a lot of us can identify with this. It's hard going out each day and putting on that mask to hide the hurt and pain we are, feeling.

I know this feeling well so much so this touched me more than I could explain. Simple some may say but definitely profound and raw

    Take care,
