This poem is fantastic and really struck a chord with me. Leaves me with so many questions about how you really feel!!

      Haha. Thanks Natasha :-)
It reflects that awful time at the end of a relationship when you both know it's over but neither one has been brave enough to call it a day, so you skirt around each other pretending to be fine. More or less. I took the plunge and called it but it's hard.
Thanks for your comments :-) x

Very very good write, pretending is so often easier then just being open when both knows the truth. Sometimes feelings just die. Who knows why. Maybe it’s no ones fault maybe it’s life, maybe one quit trying. When we know the truth for certain there is no denying it. I love the poem.

This was me for a long time, but eventually I had to say enough was enough. Very well written, kudos.

Thanks so much Matt, I too reached the 'enough!' stage. Feels like a lifetime ago when I was in this situation and wrote this poem :-) x

I like how this can be interpreted in different ways. The first read though reminded me of the end of my marriage. But then as I read again I started to feel like this represented how my mother and I ignored my depression as a teenager and pretended our relationship wasn't dying.
It's really nice to read something that invokes an emotional response.
    Great write
