Its All Greek To Me

by Paul Hirst   Sep 20, 2017

I battle love and all its woes as did the son of Zeus and Alcmene
Heracles lend me your strength and visions of peace please
come to me.

Thetis Mother nymph of mine lay me to your breast
let me sleep and rise once more and unlike Hector
not fail loves test.

As Minos weeps for Androgeus slain by the Cretin bull
I weep for all the pain I caused you my sweet and
perfect one.

Let my love song bring you close as Orpheus charmed a stone
please hear my song and come to me no longer
to be alone

Oh son of Somnus taker her hand and show her all is not it seems
sweet Morpheus take her heart and bring it
into my dreams

Amazing piece of writing Paul, and really structured well. Bringing Greek mythology to the world of
    poetry in your way.
    Wonderful
