HAVE YOU SEEN MY LITTLE DRAGON FRIENDS?

HAVE YOU SEEN MY LITTLE DRAGON FRIENDS?

Here in the Sub-Tropics they are everywhere you go, they scurry to and fro, every bug suits their pallet, I’m not wanting to find one in my salad. They truly resemble little Dragons and when they run they straighten out their long tail, easily outrunning the hungry Snail.

They are on many various creature’s dinner plates, the Birds eat them right out of the Gate, the Great White Heron stalks them with its head swaying side to side, a swift poke brings the end to the little bloke.

This time of the year they are mating everywhere, the males become very bold, and under their necks a bright red fan they unfold, it is to attract the smaller female. When she comes near he grabs her behind the ear, wraps around her and Nature takes its course, soon many babies will be born in the moss.

We love our little Dragons on our Patio around our Pool, as we don’t want those ants in our pants, so our little friends become our customized eating Tool. I found a way to tame them which is cool, I hold out a wiggling meal worm and they will gleefully grab it as it much does squirm.

Thanks Meena, I am always enchanted by God's Creation, even the little Ant has a mystery to tell, I did write a poem that included them.

Great stuff, Ken. We could do with a few of those in the summer by the sound of it. Also, I'm much relieved to hear of your pool's good health after that little windy patch you had, lol

    Take care,

Thanks Ben, they also can be a pain when they sneak into the house, very tough to get them out.
I had to laugh when Irma snapped in half our pretty Hibiscus Tree, as it was not standing straight and I had planned to put supports to right that condition but the Storm solved the problem. Now we will just replace it!
