I liked very much the majority of the poem because it was defiant standing up for your rights to be a poet in the way that you want to be. It spoke for all the poets who have ever been told that they cant write in a certain way but then I was disappointed because the sudden turn to cutting your throat because you are a poet that choosed to paint a dark grim scene.

I felt it was almost like your stood in front of the mirror taking a final bow and convincing yourself that by cutting your throat you are winning but actually you are not winning because in taking your life you are giving in and submitting to all the people who have ever dictated what you should or shouldnt do. Suicide is a defeat rather than a win. It leaves no further opportunity to show people how brillient your work is just the way it is ongoing.

I was hoping more for a defiant but positive ending. That doesnt diminish your poem in any way it is purely my own preference. Well done on a great piece. Milly x

I liked this as I too won't be told how to write and how to punctuate stuff.

I write what I feel when I feel and if it's not to people's taste.

    Well who cares.

I write for me, for release, sometimes for my children, sometimes for my friends.

Never because I have to, yet often because I need to.
