Fireflies and Fairies

by CJ Maleney   Sep 23, 2017

I have never seen a fairy
But my daughter insists that they exist
I have never seen a firefly
Are these too just a myth

I have never seen a leprechaun
With his magic pot of gold
But when I talk to Irish men
They are real is what I'm told

I have never seen a yeti
But there are footprints in the snow
Is this just someone playing tricks
I guess I will never know.

Some say they've not seen a unicorn
free or fixed with chain and shackle
But I'm telling you that they exist
Because the b@£t@£d broke my ankle

I dived on an inflatable one while on holiday, it flipped and I cracked my ankle off the side of the pool. ;-) bloody unicorns, ya just can't trust em

:) this was such an entertaining read and it made me smile
at the end...hope that ankle healed well...in later years it will cause
pain especially during the cold weather...saying from expereince.

    Enjoyed the read!

      Thanks Meena.

A minor wound and more a chipped bone than a break, slowed me down a little but didn't hold me back or spoil the holiday
