16 years together
You are more than my best mate
You fought like a bloody demon
When my leg they would amputate.

But hey four years down the line
I still have all four paws
A loyalty and a trust entwined

I jumped into that river
It was so so cold and fast it's true

So we are getting a little older now

I grew from that ball of fur and fluff
A medium sized pall expected

There was a time when things looked bleak
The kitchen I did both destroy and eat
