Your Sinking Ship

by Risqué   Sep 26, 2017

I have heard
Every whisper echoed across these seas
No longer will I fall slave
To broken promises and tainted words
I have loved you
With all the pieces of
this broken heart
But I am walking away
I am no longer bound
By ties; covenants
Woven by women who share the same story
As I.
I am no longer the siren in the seas
that carry your ship
You were the sailor I held dear
But my love was blind
I've opened my eyes
to see
All the mermaids driving your sails

What a marvellously written early post from you, genuinely. It's fluent and mesmerising.

Well done, welcome to the site, keep posting and all the very best,

    Ben
