Romance of pen and paper is fun to read, specially since pen is masculine and paper seem feminine, dark and light... and yes they seem dance: the man leads and the woman is nothing but corresponding invitation. They also very romantically give birth to poetry.
Haha but their romance is the thing of the past. Nowadays nobody uses pen and paper, except in note taking. The romance of our time is all about fingers and keyboards.
    Lovely writing as always.

Ddavidd, alas I think your comments about romance being a thing of the past and nobody using pen and paper were misguided because I know plenty of people who still have romance in their lives after many years of marriage and who still regularly use pen and paper (and send snail mail) myself included :)

I absolutely love it and since I am from the old school I believe in this kind of romance. All the best

Loved this. I think one of your best. It certainly got me racing to press the nominations button but I see Dagma beat me to it. There have been many poems about writing but this one stood out for me because it wove s secondary tale of love and romance. Superb.. Milly x

    Hello Meena

I love this piece from you, and the way you have imaged pen and paper as man and woman. Very cleverly
put together with a beautiful story. I'm pleased it has been nominated.
    Well done

    Much love

    Michael :)

Thank you all for the lovely comments and I for one
still am comfortable using pen and paper to write a poem
and sometimes its the keyboard too! But romance is romance!

I found this to be an inviting and enticing write by Meena,

The subject matter and the way it is formed combine to work fantastically and makes me really wonder if there is a deeper meaning.

I suspect there may be and it will take a better analyst than I to fathom exactly what that may be, but Sometimes things seem evident and I'm sure we all hope this is the case.

If this is simply love of Pen and paper, then In your hands may it long continue.

    Beautiful poem (7)
