The Meaning of Life

by Michael D Nalley   Jul 10, 2004

The meaning of Life is
The mystery of Love,
Life's true meaning of His
Light that comes from above.

Why is the Light such a mystery?
We all have heard of the true story
The Light has shown throughout history
The Life has manifested His glory

Do we know just Life's pleasure?
Do we know Love's true treasure?
Do we seek, the 'Tree of Life,'
Or the tree of Adam's wife?

Adam would name Eve after the fall
That brought the pain of birth to call
To the life of them, and us all
But, God would make the serpent crawl

Eve had the meaning of life
Eve ate of the tree of strife
Adam took and ate from his wife
Angels protect the 'Tree of Life'

The meaning lies in the heart of that wood
Not in the knowledge of evil and good
When we have no knowledge of the evil we should
Return to paradise, where God is understood
