I struggle (Cinquain Swirl)

by Meena Krish   Oct 3, 2017

Fresh out
from the nest, joy
builds up without limit,
a new kid who has discovered
his wings
blindly took off
not understanding the
world which awaits his innocence;
Now, I
hurt more then him
as I struggle to find
ways to bring reality to
his feet…

    A wonderful write, the bird that leaves the nest never forgets the love and warmth of the nest and always longs to return.

    A very well done on this, Meena. Your formed poetry - and knowledge of - puts most of us on here to shame!

    All the best as ever,

    beautiful. i feel this transcends the mother-son relationship and can apply to our solo self; i have especially been struggling with grounding myself lately and this poem captures the essence of this shift in elements of my life. a truly refreshing read. well done.
