Forgive and Forget.

So much hate,
No discussion,
A fear of debate,
Accept an infusion.

It does not matter,
Look for the similar,
Not race or colour,
Embrace the peculiar.

We focus on killing,
Bringing to an end,
Harming and blood spilling,
Respect should not depend.

Not age nor wisdom,
Forget petty difference,
Accept all religion,
Forget the aggressive stance.

But what do I know,
At just twenty and six
Vigilant as a crow,
Atop a wall of bricks.

I have lived a sad longing,
In bitterness and Jealousy,
Not worthy of my kin,
I've been stuck in a falacy.

I know the harm,
That hate can bring,
Of the pain and alarm,
And losses sting.

Please heed my word,
Embrace acceptance,
Even the absurd,
Break free your media trance.

    Justen, a well done write with a lot of food for thought. You have touched on so many things we all need to heed. Acceptance of another person or their religion or anything else is key to this worlds survival.

      Thank you, the religion aspect was founded on my personal faith and the friction that is caused between Heathens and Christians because of the fighting of the past. Keep lessons not grudges.

    Indeed! We're force fed so much 'spin' by the media that less enquiring minds barely know which way is up! Brilliantly depicted here. Well done :-)

      Thank you, I heard a quote and it inspired that line, once you begin to care and see the evil of this world...you can't even pretend not to care because it will eat you alive...the trance provideso many a docile freedom from that care...but we are humans and to survive we must face the truth and not hide.

      So true, I have always been central on my politics, favouring the party who I feel is best at the time to often we choose our political stance based on a loyalty...just because someone does one thing well we should not give them our freedom IMHO.

      The sad truth it is, but the leadersame of our society won't allow it. I hope to work in the development of artificial intelligence, to help guide it to ethical use and not to be corrupted by mankind.
