A Pathetic Society

by Robert Long   Oct 6, 2017

dark as a shadow
moving in the night
and as low as the dirt
as they venture out of sight

and as they walk
they're filled with gloom
with they're head held down
running on a fume

wishing they had help
but nobody is around
to give a helping hand
when they fall to the ground

for people are worried
about only them
about texting each other
and collecting from the atm

but i find it unfair
that there are people in need
and others wont help
because they're filled with greed

and i cant believe that
people wont help the minorities
and i cant believe that
i live in such a pathetic society

because everyone deserves a chance
no matter who they are
and if you agree with me
then in life you'll go far

and if you agree
please comment below
and lets show this world
how far we'll willing to go

There are so many things in this world that need addressed.

Perhaps one day!!! I fear it will not be in any of our lifetimes though.

    But perhaps one day

Most everyone are fighting battles others know nothing about so I can understand this . Sometimes we are all so consumed with our own daily lives & so wrapped up in "whats wrong with us" we forget their are others out there that actually need us. This is an amazing write. Its kind of short but it has so much meaning. I rate a 5/5 (:
