Only On The Cloudy Days

by Gwenyth Hill   Oct 7, 2017

I admire the sky
Only on the cloudy days
Because I feel as though
It’s the only time that it portrays

What life is really like
When it isn’t covered up
When the blue sky disappears
The facade is dropped

And I can’t help but smile
When the sun is concealed away
And I can see the truth
That’s finally on display

I really liked this a lot. It's neat the way you used the cloudy days for really showing what might be hiding under that "sunny façade". Well done-
