Miss You More..

by MoonMaiden   Oct 8, 2017

You can tell me that you miss me
Like the birds in the winter miss the trees
But i miss you more..

You can tell me that you miss me
Like the long drought misses the rain
But i miss you more..

You can tell me that you miss me
My heart without you aches sometimes
Because i miss you more..

You can tell me that you miss me
All the way to the moon and back
But i miss you more..

You can tell me that you miss me
Like cloudy days miss the light
But i miss you more..

You can tell me that you miss
Like i havent heard it all before
Because i miss you more..

You can tell me that you miss me
Like a player trying to score
But i miss you more..

You can tell me that you miss me
Like you miss your neice
But i miss you more..

You can tell me that you miss me
Like summer misses the breeze
But i miss you more..

You can tell me that you miss me
Like horizon misses the shore
But i miss you more..

You can tell me that you miss me
Like the calm misses the storm
But i miss you more..

You can tell me that you miss me
Like the negative misses the positive
But i miss you more..

You can tell me that you miss me
Like the smoke misses the lungs
But i miss you more..

You can tell me that you miss me
Like a southern girl and her porch
But i miss you more..

You can tell me that you miss me
Like sugar misses tea
But i miss you more. .

You can tell me that you miss me
Like misery misses company
But i miss you more..

So many different variations of missing someone, which tells me a lot of how you refer to as missing, like missing 'sugar in tea' whereas I would dislike sugar in tea. Which brings simple things we love to how much we compare to missing :0
    Really enjoyed reading this

The phrase "but I miss you more' certainly made me smile. It is so sweet, when you add 'more' to the usual phrase you say. I feel your love greatly in this write, although I am surprised it went too long...I mean the length somehow distracted the sentiment.

I read that you have a rhyme scheme involved in here, for me it worked quite well. I just find it a little bit open ended. With all the build up in the preceding stanzas I would have loved the second to the last stanza to be the ending. I think 'misery misses company' would be a great.

That aside, I sure love the piece and the sweet sentiment. Well done.

Funny, isn't it? Two perfectly suited lovers may agree on everything - perhaps never have a cross word - but they may never agree on who loves the other more! well done, I enjoyed this.
