Opposite Roads

by Sherry Caayupan   Oct 10, 2017

A neverending prelude
of morrows flock,
Verging into
splinters of treachery,
Amiable hands
that seemed frivolous,
A mockery to
love's gestated nights;
A vast tomorrow speaks
in gerontic words,
The humble man's frow
denuded under a raging fire,
An affluence
of pricked fluctuations,
Of love's
embarking separations;
Aloft in the depths
of this man's disillusion,
Ghaists of yesterday's
earnest entreating,
A venture
into hapless sorrows,
Turned vague in
embraces for only seconds;
A merge between
love's enduring memoirs,
Reluctant of
the combining vows' scrimmage,
No mark nor hatred
loiter in this room,
A love's grieving rampage...

    Completely agree with you sherry, your best.
    Use of language reminded me a bit of David's poetry style.
    But at the same time it's unique.
    I just hope someone nominates it.
