If I die Young

by Maple Tree   Oct 10, 2017

I wanted her to feel sobriety

once again,

but not at the hands of death.

I'm not as strong as society

thinks I am,

I've given it all to her.

"Morning glory fly with me
tip toe angel to the highest tree,
raise your hands, be with me
allow your soul to be set free"

****************
My daughter Robyn, has suffered from drug addiction and much more for 5 years, finally three weeks sober, only to be diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, spreading to her lymph nodes, stomach and liver. I'm broken.

    My dearest Andrea,

Robyn's diagnosis is such a shock to everyone. In life, were not always as strong as people may think. Both you and Robyn have my full support and love; just know you don't have to do anything alone.

    Love ya to pieces,
    Ki

Even without your note at the end it is clear that you are broken, and anyone in your shoes should be. I am wishing you both all the wellness, recovery, and ect. there is in the world to offer.

As for the poem your work is never less than beautiful. This certainly is no exception.

The strongest people always think that way. What you have been experiencing first with Jim and now with Robyn is beyond extraordinary . Your devotion and your love in real life, itself, is the most glorious poetry I have ever read!!

I love you dearly from the bottom of my heart dearest Andrea
