Still The Same

by words2myself   Oct 11, 2017

Standing I stood on the cliff
looking out across the sea
my mind drifting with the tide
all my feelings running deep inside
watching the sun set below the water
as all before falls and falters
the stars coming out to play
along with the moon
that lights the way

As the night then begins to fade
so the sun once more starts to rise
tree branches with leaves
that offer their shade
from a sun that now grows in size
A new dawn a new day
the world still in dismay

Theres something about staying up all night from sun set to sun rise that makes you realise the insignificance of everything. The last two lines - "a new dawn a new day, the world still in dismay" portrayed great sadness. Take care Milly x

Although sad, this really is lovely. One day, we can hope, things will have changed. Take care-
