For my parting

Weep not once for me
For I cannot see your tears
I cannot feel your anguish or pain
Though I've known many of you for years

Do not worry for my soul
I've done less wrong than right
And if they judge me harshly
You know I'll bloody fight

Do not mourne my passing
For I've lived an amazing life
I've buzzed so many times
And I don't wish to live it twice

I've thrown myself down the rivers
And I've felt the ocean breeze
I've given others my sport and passion
I have climbed and fell from trees

I've gained more wounds than I can count
And I'm proud of every one
A couple could have finished me
But yet I carry on

I've overcome every fear
And I've healed from every wound
My life has been a fanfare
And I've loved each single tune

So if you would think of me and smile
For I've always enjoyed your cheer
The curtains are closed but the pubs open
So for me go have a beer
