MY CAR'S RAGE

MY CAR’S RAGE

My car is angry at me, a sudden burst from the radio got me blinking, what are you thinking it cries out, am I just a Car or a horseless carriage? When you slam on my brakes, that’s all it takes for your wife to disparage, then at the next stoplight, my how you two do fight, but it’s not to the vehicle behind you a delight.

The bad gas you put me so you can save a dime or two make me cough and choke and belch out that black smoke, it makes people sick you bloke! Also, that cheap brand oil makes my insides toil, my valves loudly clatter, don’t you hear it and wonder what’s the matter?

You drive me into the ground, I’m just like an old junkyard dog that you hate but are glad to have around. I used to glow with pride when on a ride, all cleaned and shined up, now I’m unkempt, just here for your ride, no longer can my anger hide. I laugh with glee as you turn my key and I don’t go, to the scrap heap is my end. My hope is that my melted body will be made anew, and as a new Car I will be bought by a friend, someone unlike you.

Oh Ken, as always you write such a witty way about you. Everything just comes to life. I feel your car giving you hell-well done-

Another unique light hearted piece. If only cars could talk I'm sure they would tell a pretty tale of their owners. What better revenge can a car have than to deprive it's uncaring owner from his ride whilst dreaming of his new considerate owner. I like the way that at first you tell the tale from the perspective of the driver acknowledging hes upset the car and then to the car confirming this and the reveal of his revenge plan. Best wishes Milly x
