I Am The Controller

by Gwenyth Hill   Oct 17, 2017

I hide within a smile
A forceful action
My pains and worries a mile
From my mind and reaction

I can play my part to a tee
Display myself favourably
Keep a world of pain
From ever entering my game

Because I am the controller
A force of will
My facade is my polar
The show of my skill

At hiding in the sight
Of all of my plight
I can run away
Or I can stay

Whatever keeps my facade
Continually concealed
Whatever keeps it
From being revealed

Gwen, I liked this a lot. I think to a point we all put on a façade that all is well with us. It helps to get through the day. Well done-

This is so feminine. So thoughtfully constructed with clever elements of experience. A venture to the realms of mask and facades. Though in the end I was confused that which role each played, the mask and the façade I mean. I do not know if it was intentional or my bad.

Dear Gwenyth how refreshing is reading your words, looking forward to the next one.
