Miss You - Song

by Scrittore   Oct 20, 2017

There are times when you know
There are times when you don't
And there are times when the pain is too much to hold
But I'm going to keep on loving you
There's not much else left for me to do

I miss you
I miss you
After all that we've been through
I still miss you

There comes a day a line is drawn
When you realize that
Everything you had is gone
But I'm going to keep on loving you
Even after you find somebody new

I miss you
I miss you
After all that we've been through
I still miss you

And I will miss your touch
I will miss you kiss
But if you asked what most of all I would miss
It would be
Sitting across the room
Simply looking at you
Knowing when your heart aches
Able to help change your fate
But even more than all of this
Lying by your side at night
Forever I'll reminisce

I miss you
I miss you
After all we've been through
I still miss you

And even after we find somebody new
And even though I'll never return to you
I'll still miss you

I'll still miss you
Even after we've both found someone new
I'll still miss you

As Michael and Mark said, this is beautiful, Scrittore. I'd love to hear it if you have a recording of it :)

Thank you. Unfortunately most of my lyrics does not have music. As a musician that is hard for me to admit. But I do enjoy writing them!

You're welcome. I completely understand. I write lyrics and music, but I can't sing well. I also still enjoy it!

I love these lyrics. I imagine a jazz legato or country type feel to it? In the first verse I wonder if the lyric 'times' is held longer by the singer. As well in other lines. I'm trying to imagine the tune because its
