    Authors note.

    Finally I can post this!

I had to read this on Saturday evening at our Trafalgar remembrance dinner. The version you see here is slightly different. (Larry thank you for your help with edits) As the paper script was misplaced (there was lots of port ;-) ).

It was read with sound bites of the dockyard, sea and battle sounds playing in the background.

Was pretty Dam cool if I do say so myself.

Never done a speech or spoke in public before so yes. I was bricking it.

I realise the tittle is a total contradiction but anyone who's been in the forces (regardless of which arm or for how long) will agree there is a certain weird bond we share.

    It's kinda beautiful

It certainly is beautiful Craig, and I'm glad you've been able to share it at last. Sounds like it was a big deal so well done writing it, and reading it out at the remembrance dinner. I'm sure they'll certainly remember that! x

      Thank you.

I think it went down pretty ok.

Yes we finally read this one. It's very brilliantly written, Craig. Such a powerful message, your colleaugues must be very proud as you read this aloud to them. With a musical background, wow.

    You are a hero!

Thank you but I'm certainly no hero just an average bloke who's capable of some monumental errors.
