Blinding

by A.J.P.   Oct 26, 2017

If you believed it to be true.

Would you give to me

What I'd give to you

If you thought it all through

Would you believe in me

To be the one for you

If I said I'm a fool

Would you love in me

As you love in you

Would you be content with me

As I'd be content with you

Accept my flaws as I'd accept yours too

I hardly know you

Yet you cut so deep

My love can be blinding

But you view me as a sheep.

I honestly loved the earlier parts. The parts towards the end (last four lines) seem to be detached or do not connect well with the rest of the poem. Also, even though I understand the last line has to rhyme I think that it is a very weak ending...I hope you don't misinterpret me. :-) This poem could do a revision, I do believe it is great, but can even be greater.
