HOW FAST CAN YOUR CLOCK RUN?

HOW FAST CAN YOUR CLOCK RUN?

Gee, when you’re having a good time, no worries, no life on the line, how quick the seconds pass, time gets short while you are enjoying much fun, I guess that there is really nothing new under the Sun.

My little clock has no feet but still, it can run, they say that time flies which is true, but it has no wings, it sometimes slows down when the little kiddies are around rolling on the ground, playing with bubbly things.

As you sing a fee fi fum song when at work, time becomes a boring ho hum, but when you take extra time for lunch, your Paycheck will suffer an unexpected crunch. Time loves to pour it on when one is incarcerated for some crime with a Warden who sucks on limes, smiles broadly, and says; now you’re mine.

We love and need our clocks and timepieces, we set the alarms as you can’t always trust the roosters when down on the Farm. And how many times when your little tinker bell plays its gentle chimes in the wee hours of the morning, do you jump up fling the poor thing against the wall treating it as “The bell from Hell”.

Dear Ken time especially when having a great time is flying. While when doing rather boring things hours will turn in to days. Maybe that is why I stopped wearing watches. Enjoyed reading. Take care

Ken, this is so true that I find it a real joy to read. Why is time sometimes playing on us, it runs so fast when we want it to slow down and slows down when we want it to run. Or is it all in our head? Hehe.

I really love your humor and wit in this. Added to my faves, surely going back to read.

    Take care. :-)

What a charming line, Ken. I could quite happily sit down and read a book of your work, good man, and be much the happier afterwards.

    Do take care,

    Ben

Great comments and flattered much especially coming from such a seasoned poet as yourself. I wish to use them as my thoughts of you as well.
