Love From Afar

by Glenn G   Oct 27, 2017

It's funny how fulfilling love from afar can be.
How funny that must sound to one who lies next to their loved one every night.
Who tastes their lips everyday.
Holds their hand with just a reach.
And, looks into their eyes so close they can see themselves.

But it's that love separated by distance that activates our memories.
The longings of those things we miss and have sometimes taken for granted.
The anticipation of a kiss we want so badly that we can still taste it.
The loving touch of a hand we feel we are still holding.
The look of their beautiful eyes as though they have given light to our lives by simply being alive.
And that sound, that sound of their voice as if it were life itself telling us everything will be ok.
And as we feel the beat of our hearts we know that love has both theirs and ours in sync.

Distance does not separate love, it simply allows you to pack it up and take it with you.

Glenn this is just beautiful and I know exactly what you mean I have been in a long distance relationship for 13 months now and we're separated by 130+ miles but my goodness when we get together the kisses and cuddles are amazing and well the other stuff is out of this world (lol) but I can taste those kisses for days weeks even and his touch lingers until the next time we're able to meet because love doesn't separate by distance it makes it stronger imo anyway
You did a great job of describing it
    Take care
