If God is For Us

When I was young I was quiet.
Shy, introverted and afraid of being hurt.
I had friends but kept my distance.
I did things with others as part of the background.
I felt lonely, at times unwanted.
I tried hard to join a click but could never make it through the door.
There were times I felt self-pity.
Times I felt useless.

One day I looked in the mirror and that boy had been replaced by a man.
I finally realized God had given me everything I had ever needed from the beginning.

I've never been lonely since. "If God is for us, who can be against us."
