Captivity

by stormingdance (Lessa)   Oct 29, 2017

Built up walls around me isolation
dark matter of my own creation
Looking for answers in the constellations
reaching for breath without consolation

Capsized by an ocean of taciturnity
where the waves are seized by emotion
Receding shorelines - transformation
Hungrily devouring shipwrecked hearts

Here I am, held captive within
the calamities of your seas
I struggle in vain to break free
like the listless wild cries
In the oceans of man's debris

Loved the rhyming and rhythm of this piece. Vivid and wild imagery with nature as it's canvas. Excellent. Milly x
